GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAU-Wheeler News) — A man who fell off a cliff at Fonferek Glen County Park says he slipped while taking pictures.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office rescued Denni Towle Friday after he had fallen almost 100 feet. The Green Bay man suffered a broken hip and two broken ribs, but he says he could be dead, so he considers himself lucky. Towle spent a night in the hospital, but he is now recovering at home.
That park includes signs warning people about the steep drop-offs and rugged terrain. A 34-year-old woman died in a fall at the same park two years ago. April Janssen was trying to help a young man who had fallen, when she fell to her death.
