BLACK RIVER FALLS, WI (WTAQ) – A Baraboo man faces three criminal charges after he allegedly assaulted a police officer and threw chairs at a fast food restaurant in Black River Falls.
A $1,000 cash bond was ordered for 53-year-old Jimmie Linville, after he appeared in court Tuesday on a video hookup from his jail cell.
Jackson County prosecutors said Linville punched an officer in the face last week, after he was asked to leave a Hardee’s restaurant at closing time.
Police said Linville began throwing chairs, and one of them hit the officer — who had used pepper spray to try and subdue the suspect.
Linville is charged with felony battery to a police officer, and misdemeanor counts of obstructing police and disorderly conduct.
