(WNFL)- Milwaukee Brewers’ right-hander Taylor Jungmann (young-man) is listed as the team’s Number-six starter at Spring Training. The Brewers drafted Jungmann in the first round of the 2011 draft, as the 12th overall pick. He could finally be ready to break into the big leagues, as a replacement should something happen to a member of Milwaukee’s five-man rotation. Brewers’ manager Ron Roenicke said Jungmann threw very well at Triple-“A” Nashville last year, and he’s a player the organization likes a lot. Jungmann went 12-10 a year ago in both Double-“A” and Triple-“A,” with a combined ERA of 3.57. His best success came near the end of last season, when he made a minor change to his delivery and went 4-1 in his final eight starts. Opponents batted just .185 during that stretch, and Jungmann struck out 51 batters in his final 46 innings with a 1.96 ERA in that period.
