GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A shocking day for the Green Bay Metro Fire Department as one of their own has died unexpectedly.
In a release from the fire department, 45-year-old Lieutenant Michael Miller died in his sleep early Saturday morning. Miller was found unresponsive and without a pulse while on shift at Station 3.
Miller, an 18-year veteran of the GBMFD, is survived by his wife and son.
A message remembering Lt. Miller was posted to the Green Bay Metro Firefighter’s Facebook page: “Lt. Miller was always one to put others in front of himself, both as a Firefighter and a Paramedic and used his witty humor to put a smile on any face. Please keep Lieutenant Miller’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Brother…We Will Take It From Here…”
