APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The Appleton man believed to be responsible for a batch of “lethal heroin” was formally charged Wednesday.
Online court records show 22-year-old DeWayne Farris is facing six counts. Three counts are for first-degree reckless injury and three are for heroin delivery.
Appleton police say the heroin sold by Farris is connected to at least six overdoses in an 18-hour period from Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. No deaths were reported, and authorities credit the use of the drug Narcan for that happening.
