(WNFL)- The Green Bay men’s basketball team will try to keep a share of first place in the Horizon League tonight, when its hosts Valparaiso. The Phoenix are 5-1, along with Valpo and Cleveland State. Green Bay is 18-3 overall, undefeated in ten games at the Resch Center. Valparaiso is 18-3 for the season. The Phoenix have won two straight, and are coming off a 78-55 pounding of Illinois-Chicago at home on Tuesday night. Greg Mays scored 20 points in that game, and Keifer Sykes added 19. The pair average a combined 42 points a game in Horizon League contests. Valparaiso’s only conference loss was also to Oakland. The Crusaders are coming off a 77-62 win at Youngstown State on Tuesday night. Alec Peters had 18 points and six rebounds in that game. Also tonight, the Marquette women will host Providence.
