WISCONSIN DELLS, WI (WTAQ) – A 75-year-old grandmother from Wisconsin Dells might go to prison, for not meeting a deadline to pay back almost $10,000 she allegedly embezzled.
Judith Dunn pleaded no contest in 2009 to three counts of theft from the Ramada Limited Hotel. Two of the charges were misdemeanors, in which she was told to serve probation and get counseling.
A Sauk County judge approved a deferred prosecution agreement for the third charge, a felony. It would have been dropped had she met the conditions that were set.
One of them was to pay back $9,500 to the hotel, plus a 15 percent surcharge, by October of last year.
Prosecutors said it didn’t happen, and Dunn now faces prison time for her felony. A court hearing on the matter is set for Friday in Baraboo.
