MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – Two northwest Wisconsin men have been indicted for conspiring to import a drug that became illegal last year.
The U.S. Attorney’s office in Madison announced a grand jury indictment Wednesday against Michael Moreno and Paul Heidbreder, both of Hayward.
According to the indictment, Moreno cultivated a source in China to provide Alpha PVP. Heidbreder and an unnamed co-conspirator allegedly paid Moreno to wire a drug order to China.
Officials said the three then split up the PVP they received, and sold it to users in northwest Wisconsin for about $100 a gram.
Besides conspiracy, Moreno and Heidbreder are charged with attempted possession of Alpha PVP, and possessing it with the intent to sell it. There was no immediate word on when the two defendants would appear in federal court.
