MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – Governor Scott Walker now has a senior adviser in New Hampshire, home of the nation’s first presidential primaries early next year.
His national policy group Our American Revival confirmed Wednesday that the Republican Walker has hired GOP consultant Andy Leach. He’s been working on New Hampshire campaigns for the White House since 1992.
Michael Bir will handle day-to-day operations for Walker in New Hampshire.
The governor plans to make his first visit to that state on March 14th, where he’ll speak at an event put on by the New Hampshire GOP.
It’s the second state where Walker has started creating a campaign operation. Iowa is the first.
