Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – The Medical College of Wisconsin has been given approvals to open its proposed campus in the Wausau region, and can start recruiting students for mid-2016.
The new central Wisconsin facility will have 20-to-25 students in its first class.
Meanwhile, the Medical College satellite in De Pere is due to open on July first. That campus had 22-hundred applicants for the relatively tiny numbers of openings.
The Medical College is based near Milwaukee. Officials say the satellite schools are designed for doctors who wish to serve in rural areas and small cities.
