MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – For the fifth time in four years, Wisconsin’s job creation agency will break in a new chief financial officer.
Brandon Duck has been hired to replace Stephanie Walker, who’s moving to the East Coast after her spouse took a job there.
Duck will start later this month, after being the chief financial officer for a preparatory school in Dallas Texas. He used to be with the Wisconsin Investment Board as its enterprise risk and compliance director.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has been riddled with turnover since Governor Scott Walker created the quasi-public agency in 2011 to replace the state Commerce Department.
WEDC has had two CEO’s during its short tenure, along with 3 chief operating officers.
Also, Lisa Johnson — the WEDC’s vice president for innovation and entrepreneurship — is leaving to become the CEO of the bio-tech group BioForward.
