The St. Norbert Green Knights, ranked 14th nationally in Division III, rallied past Lake Forest 64-58 Tuesday night at the Kress Events Center to clinch at least a share of the Midwest Conference regular season championship.
The Knights trailed by six at the break but D.J. DeValk led the rally with 24 points. SNC is now 18-4 on the season and 14-2 in MWC play, holding a one game lead on Ripon with one game to play. It was the 49th consecutive conference win at home for the Knights who will host the MWC post-season tournament as the number one seed at the Kress later this month.
The St. Norbert women got 15 points from Mallory Nickerson to defeat Lake Forest 65-44 to improve to 14-3 in conference play, 17-5 overall. They stand second in the MWC race.
