Brewer streak ends quietly

The Milwaukee Brewers nine game winning streak came to a halt Monday night as Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals shut out the Crew 4-0 at Miller Park.  Lynn allowed only three hits in seven innings with 11 strikeouts.   Jean Segura had two of the hits and Logan Schafer added a double but that was it for the offense.  Matt Garza (0-2) took the loss after giving up a solo home run to Johnny Peralta in the second inning and centerfielder John Jay broke the game open with a three run blast in the 6th.   Milwaukee (10-3) still leads the NL Central by a couple of games over the Cardinals.   Marco Estrada will face Shelby Miller in game two of the series Tuesday.   Pre-Game coverage begins at 6:35 PM on WTAQ.
