MILWAUKEE, WI (METRO) – Jose Peraza’s first inning two-run homer held up as the Reds put down the Brewers 3-1 in Milwaukee.
Scott Schebler added an RBI double in the fourth for Cincy. Sal Romano picked up the win in relief of Michael Lorenzen, who fired four innings of one-run ball in his first start since 2015.
The Cincinnati bullpen combined on five frames of two-hit ball with Raisel Iglesias picking up his 28th save.
Chase Anderson was chased in the fourth inning and gave up all three runs to take the loss.
The Brewers have dropped three-of-four and are clinging to a two-game lead over St. Louis for the top NL Wild Card spot.
