OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – An Oshkosh man that drunkenly drove his vehicle into a parked sheriff’s squad car was convicted on Wednesday and sentenced to nine months in jail.
A court official indicates that 60-year-old Harold Strozewski pleaded no contest to one count of drunken driving causing injury.
A traffic ticket and three other criminal counts were dismissed.
Strozewski also was assessed a $600 fine, had his driver’s license revoked for two years and was placed on probation for three years.
The accident took place on Interstate 41 on July 25.
The Winnebago County sheriff’s deputy was parked along I-41 southbound with its emergency lights on while it investigated an earlier crash. Strozewski’s car spun into traffic and hit another vehicle. Two people suffered minor injuries and the deputy was not injured.
