MADISON, WI (METRO) – Tests are underway to determine whether video games can boost kids’ empathy.
Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have developed a video game for middle schoolers that forces them to decipher emotions to advance.
The results showed that a number of kids who played the game showed better empathy and perspective in as little as two weeks.
The head of the research team said they hope to use video games to support virtuous qualities in kids.
