(LEARFIELD) LAS VEGAS – Former Badgers cornerback Marcus Cromartie, an agent with Equity Sports who represents UNLV quarterback Matthew Sluka, told ESPN’s Pete Thamel Sluka wasn’t paid the $100,000 he was promised by an assistant coach to transfer there.
Sluka came from FCS Holy Cross this offseason.
A representative with UNLV’s NIL collective has since denied the $100,000 figure.
Sluka announced Wednesday morning he would be sitting out the rest of the season for the 3-0 Running Rebels.
