(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Wisconsin Badgers continue to get ready for playing the USC Trojans on Saturday.
Packers quarterback Brayden Locke talked about what he see’s from USC.
One thing Locke said is that he’s trying to avoid batted passes which have been a problem.
Locke said that, for him, last week was a good time for the bye.
From the “Did you know?” file: Wisconsin battles USC for the first time since the 2015 Holiday Bowl in San Diego. UW’s trip to L.A. is the farthest west the Badgers have traveled since a 2012 meeting with Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore.
- With Big Ten play beginning, UW owns a 59-30 (.663) record against Big Ten opponents over the last 10 seasons (since 2014). Ohio State (82-7) and Michigan (67-22) are the only programs to post more Big Ten wins over that span.
- With USC holding a No. 13 ranking after a narrow defeat on the road at Michigan, the Badgers will hit the road for their first meeting with a top-15 team in a true road game since 2022 (at No. 3 Ohio State). Wisconsin’s last win over a top-15 team on the road came against No. 9 Minnesota to close the 2019 regular season.
- USC is 223-71-14 (.747) during presidential election years (including this season).
- To be determined later this season, but the Trojans are 127-29-5 (.804) in years when Republicans won the White House and 94-41-9 (.684) when Democrats won. (Does not include 1 win vacated due to NCAA penalty; revised record: 223-70-14, .748 overall and 128-29-5, .806 with Republicans.)
- USC has won 4 national championships (1928-32-72-2004) during presidential election years.
