MADISON, WI (WSAU) — All references to Jake Patterson have been erased from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections database after the 22-year-old was moved to a facility in New Mexico
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that his name has been removed from the online inmate locator, but did confirm that he was moved out-of-state due to the high-profile nature of the crimes he committed.
The Press-Gazette also reports that corrections officials in New Mexico have confirmed that he is being held at one of their prisons.

DOC officials told the Press-Gazette that they use their judgment on a case-by-case basis to determine if someone will be searchable in the database.
Additionally, Patterson’s name does not come up in the state sex offender registry. He was ordered to register as part of his sentence.
DOC officials did not confirm where Patterson was transferred out of concern for his safety.
Patterson served the first few weeks of his life prison sentence in Waupun, which is often used to evaluate new prisoners and determine where they should be held long-term.
