APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Outagamie County authorities are investigating an inmate’s suicide at the county jail.
Sheriff’s officials say the 43-year-old man was found just before 2:30 this morning. Correctional workers tried to revive the man but were unsuccessful.
The man was last seen alive about an hour earlier.
Investigators have not released the inmate’s name or the suicide method used.
The man had been in jail since August 1st.
He was being held on a $25,000 cash bond for charges of repeated sexual assault of the same child and exposing a child to harmful material.
