MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – There are a variety of city and county races across the state to be decided. The primary for Wisconsin Supreme Court will be at the top of the ballot.
Jill Karofsky and Ed Fallone are running against incumbent Daniel Kelly. Kelly was appointed to the high court by Scott Walker when he was governor. The top two vote-getters will compete in the general election on April 7th.
In another high profile campaign, Republican voters will be picking between long time northwoods legislator Tom Tiffany and US Army veteran and aide to Senator Ron Johnson, Jason Church.
Democrats will be selecting between Wausau School Board president and Ho-Chunk Supreme Court justice Tricia Zunker and union organizer and Vietnam vet Lawrence Dale.
That seat opened up last year after former congressman Sean Dufy stepped down to handle family matters.
Polls are open until 8 p.m. and though people can’t register online anymore they can register in person at their polling center.
The general election/Presidential Primary is April 7th.
