GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Wisconsin’s contentious spring election is far from finished.
Last week’s Presidential Primary election is about to move on to the next phase as today will be the tally of all the ballots.
Normally, the count starts when the polls close, but a judge ordered absentee ballots will be given the extra time to arrive in the mail.
“What will happen is Monday at 4 p.m. that will close the time when any absentee ballots can be received by the municipalities.”
Brown County Clerk Sandy Juno….
“At that time they will shutdown their polls and starting as early as 4 p.m. they will be getting their results.”
Clerks have ballots in sealed bags, locked them in safes, closets and offices, and have done the same thing with voting machines that have the electronic records inside.
“Which we will upload to out computer system and be posting our reports online simultaneously throughout the night until we get them all in.”
Juno doesn’t think it will be a late night since the counting will begin 4 hours earlier than typical.
