(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers have extended their winning streak to eight games.
Milwaukee opened its road series at Cincinnati against the Reds with a 3-2 win.
Christian Yelich continued his hot stretch, by hitting a home run that provided what would be the game-winning run.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy discussed Yelich’s hit.
Aaron Civale earned the win, allowing two runs in five-and-a-third innings of work.
Murphy talked about using 4 pitchers out of the bullpen after taking Civale out.
The teams will continue their series tonight.
Yelich named NL Player of the Week: Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich was named National League Player of the Week. Yelich went 10-for-20 with three home runs and nine RBI during a 6-and-0 week for Milwaukee. This is Yelich’s sixth time taking home the award, but the first since April of 2019.
