GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) –Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is making a trip to Northeast Wisconsin this weekend to stump for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Her visit is part of what the Harris-Walz campaign calls its “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour.
Whitmer is scheduled to be in Green Bay Saturday for a canvass launch from 9:30 a.m. to noon. She will then head to Waukesha Sunday.

Joining Whitmer on the tour is Kate Cox, a reproductive rights advocate and mother of two from Dallas who garnered national attention when she sued to receive an emergency abortion in Texas after she learned her fetus had a lethal fetal anomaly.
A news release says Whitmer will discuss the “devastating impacts” of overturning Roe v. Wade, as well as the importance of access to birth control and IVF.
Earlier this week, supporters stumping for former President Donald Trump on a statewide bus tour made two stops in our area — one in Green Bay and one in Appleton.
