(LEARFIELD) PITTSBURGH – Aaron Civale made his final start of the regular season and got through six innings on just 86 pitches while striking out five to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday.
He allowed three hits and one walk.
The Brewers offense bounced back after a disappointing showing Wednesday, with 14 hits, two walks, and four stolen bases.
Joey Ortiz had a three-hit day with an RBI, Blake Perkins and Gary Sanchez each had two hits, and Brice Turang drove in two of the Crew’s five runs.
The Brewers finish out the regular season with a series against the Mets that starts tonight in Milwaukee
Frankie Montas takes the mound for Milwaukee while the Mets will counter with Sean Manaea.
