KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis – Get ready to embark on a delightful journey through the heart of agriculture with the launch of “Big Farms, Little Farms,” the second installment in the beloved Dairy Diaries Series. Set to release on October 2, 2024, this enchanting book invites young readers to explore not only our family farm but also the diverse farming community surrounding us.
In “Big Farms, Little Farms,” readers will meet a variety of local farmers, including a bee farmer, an apple orchardist, and a pumpkin patch owner, alongside the familiar faces from our own dairy farm. Each page celebrates the hard work and dedication of these families, bringing to life the vibrant tapestry of our agricultural landscape.
This time, readers will be introduced to Little Farmer Jase, my youngest son, who loves gardening and caring for his plants. After getting to know Little Farmer Kiley Ann in “Rosco’s Sweet Treats,” families can now enjoy new adventures with Jase as he shares his passion for the earth.
As a special feature, the book includes an interactive QR code that links to my website, where readers can meet other family farmers and learn more about their stories and experiences. This initiative aims to foster a deeper connection between children and the agricultural community, highlighting the importance of farming in our everyday lives.
Although I didn’t grow up on a farm, I have spent the past 23 years learning from my husband, who has been an incredible mentor and supporter. Together, we strive to advocate for the agriculture community through storytelling, aiming to educate and inspire young readers.
Join us in celebrating the release of “Big Farms, Little Farms.” Let’s sow the seeds of curiosity and appreciation for farming together!
