BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Swimming and paddle boarding are some of the ways Green Bay residents kept cool on the hottest day of the year so far.
Jack Winans, one of the visitors at Duck Creek Quarry, gave FOX 11 some tips on how to beat the heat.
“Make sure you go swimming, or else you’re probably going to get hot, and wear sunscreen,” he said.
Visitors at Ashwaubomay Lake in Ashwaubenon caught shade under covered sections of the beach. And at the Resch Aquatic Center, the diving boards and water slides were popular attractions.
Coleman resident Mya Galbraith says the pool is the ideal way to cool off.
“It’s way warmer because in the lake I went to the other day it was really cold and I barely stayed in there for a longer time,” she said. “But here, I could stay here all day.”
The intense heat i expected to continue into Wednesday.
