APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Construction work continues at the Appleton Public Library as the new temporary space prepares to open.
Crews have been hard at work, transforming the Appleton Public Library’s space at 225 North Oneida Street, into an expanded, modern space.
Meanwhile library staff is moving into its temporary space at the former Habitat ReStore at 3000 E. College Ave.
The library’s temporary space will be open to the public Monday, Jan. 8.
Over the past several weeks, construction crews have poured concrete and demolished the freight elevator, west façade and northeast façade at the N. Oneida Street building.

The newly remodeled library is expected to be complete by early 2025.
Last month, Friends of Appleton Public Library announced the public launch of its Building Beyond Words Capital Campaign to raise $12 million for the renovation project.
