GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay residents who were displaced as a result of the August Manor Apartments fire are getting help from the American Red Cross.
Red Cross hosted a multi-agency resource center Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway.
“The multi-agency resource center is kind of a one-stop-shop where people that have been impacted by the fire can go to get numerous community resources,” said Jennifer Warren with the Red Cross.
Residents were given a meal, and assisted by organizations such as The Salvation Army, Brown County Health and Human Services, the Brown County Aging and Disability Resource Center, Forward Service Corporation, Catholic Charities, and St. Vincent De Paul.
Red Cross case workers and trained disaster relief workers were also on site.
Anybody who wishes to donate towards the cause is encouraged to do so financially.
“Donate financially by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS ( 1-800-733-2767) or online at redcross.org,” said Warren. “That allows more flexibility to get people what they need most.”
Currently, Red Cross is providing shelter for 3 of the residents displaced by the fire. No word yet on when residents can return to the apartment.
