The chants of “Bobby, Bobby” will be heard some at Fiserv Forum. The Milwaukee Bucks and forward Bobby Portis have agreed to terms on a four year contract worth a reported 49 million dollars. The signing comes a day after Portis declined the option year of his existing deal which would have paid him 4.5 million this upcoming season and now the Bucks have their fan favorite locked up long term.
With Brook Lopez recovering a back surgery most of the season, Portis started 59 games for the Bucks, averaging 14.9 points and 9.1 rebounds after coming on board an playing a key role off the bench in Milwaukee’s NBA Championship season the year prior.
The Bucks also signed guard Joe Ingles to a one year contract. The 34 year old veteran who has played with Utah and Portland, missed the second half of last season after undergoing ACL surgery.
