OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) – Sentencing for a former Suring teacher for sexually assaulting a student.
24-year-old Timothy Grimes will go to prison for four years.
He was previously convicted of two counts of sexual assault of a student by a staff member. And, according to Clerk of Courts, he was also placed on extended supervision for six years.
Prosecutors said Grimes was a friend of the victim’s family and would spend time at the 15-year-old girl’s house. According to the complaint, he had sexual contact with the victim on multiple occasions.
The school district reports Grimes resigned from his position as a history teacher.
