APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The generosity of the community is putting an annual Easter meal back on the calendar.
The We Care Meals program serves low-income families in the Fox Valley with a free holiday meal, but had to temporarily cancel their plans earlier this week due to a lack of funds.
Ed Rathsack, the coordinator of the program, says donations have now started to come in from all over the state and the meal is back on.
Reservations are not needed for the free meal on Easter Sunday at the Capitol Centre in Appleton at 11 am.
You can call (920) 687-1638 to set up a home delivery, if needed.
Please contact Rathsack at (920) 731-7867 for volunteer opportunities.
The We Care Meals program provides about 1,200 dinners each Christmas and Easter for families in the Fox Cities and they have done so for the past 30 years.
