GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Green Bay Parks and Recreation Department is hiring for the summer.
On Saturday, the city hosted a job and hiring fair at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.
People who attended could see what jobs are available in the Parks and Recreation Department.
Not many people attended when our camera was there. The short lines might be a product of record-low unemployment.
Those doing the hiring say there is one big attraction to the jobs being offered.
“With both positions, either Bay Beach or the pools, we’re outside in the summer, and as we all know, our summers in Wisconsin tend to be short, so it’s nice to be able to be outside, working with peers, so most people working at these locations are in high school and college,” said Ann Moeller, a recreation supervisor for the city.
The city is hiring mostly for ride operators at Bay Beach and lifeguards for the city’s three pools.
