JANESVILLE, WI (WTAQ) – The ten-day manhunt for Joseph Jakubowski was a costly effort.
Local authorities say they spent north of $128,000 in overtime costs to bring the 32-year-old into custody.
Jakubowski faces both state and federal charges for reportedly stealing 18 weapons from a Janesville gun shop and writing an anti-government manifesto to the White House.
Following ten days of raising tensions throughout the state, Jakubowski was arrested April 14 at a primitive campsite in a Vernon County farm field.
The overtime figure does not include costs accrued by state and federal authorities that aided in the search.
