DETROIT (WTAQ) – An earthquake in southwestern Michigan was felt in five states, including Wisconsin.
Officials with the U.S. Geological Survey report the 4.2 earthquake was recorded shortly after noon Saturday. It was centered about 9 miles southeast of Kalamazoo.
Earthquakes are said to be rare in Michigan.
Witnesses called about the shaking from locations in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin. There were no official reports of injuries or damage to structures.
