66th Alice Bids Farewell

by Mike Austin

I guess as we get older time really does speed up. That seems to be the case for me in describing the year that Kristin Olson spent as our 66th Alice in Dairyland.....a marketing position with the Wisconsin Department of Agrciulture, Trade and Consumer Protection. It was a pleasure emceeing the event when she was selected and we went full circle as I was the emcee for her final event at the Brown County Dairy Breakfast that drew some 6,000 visitors to Calf Source. During the event we took some time to talk about the value of promotion, ag literacy and the role of Alice in Dairyland in helping to keep Agriculture a strong economic engine in the state.
