MADISON, WI (WRN) – A new survey shows the views of people in Wisconsin on issues such as gun control, arming teachers, and their perception of their safety.
The sixth annual poll was conducted by the Wisconsin Professional Police Association and was released publicly Monday.
In the survey, a majority of people oppose teachers carrying guns in school.
Only six percent of respondents supported legally carrying a concealed weapon without any training.
Nearly 40-percent of the 400 people surveyed strongly agreed that they felt safer after the implementation of the 2011 concealed carry law.
The survey was conducted by phone over a month beginning at the end of February.
