MENOMONEE, WI (WSAU) The former Menomonie School Board president is charged with prostitution. Jay Fahl and another man were charged with misdemeanor solicitation Thursday after police say they responded to an online ad placed by police posing as a prostitute.
He’ll be back in Eau Claire County court on February 13 for an initial appearance.
Fahl was arrested last month along with four other men after he offered to pay $80 for sex with a prostitute. Police arranged a meeting on Fairfax Street, where he was arrested.
He resigned from the Menomonee Board of Education in January after serving for 11 years. He did not reference the pending charges in a resignation letter, and his arrest was not known at the time. His letter said, “there are things in my personal life that need my attention.”
Three of the other men caught in the sting haven’t been charged yet.
