MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) Police in Milwaukee are looking for answers after fire department dive team members pulled the bodies of a man and a woman from the Kinnickinnic River over the weekend.
A witness tells police the 43-year-old man jumped into the river in the 2600-block of South Chase Avenue following an argument with the woman. A short time later, she also jumped into the river. Police say too often a would-be rescuer also drowns when entering the water. They advise to stay on-shore and call 9-1-1.
Police have not released their names or the age of the woman.
It’s the seventh drowning in Milwaukee this year.
