MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Hillary Clinton blames Russia, the FBI, voter ID laws and the strategy of Donald Trump for her loss in the 2016 presidential race. The former U.S. Senator, Secretary of State and First Lady spoke in Milwaukee last night on her book tour for “What Happened.”
She said after a prolonged standing ovation, “Well, I should have come back sooner.”
Clinton did not campaign in the here, and lost Wisconsin by about 50,000 votes. She offered no explanation last night as to why she was the first major party candidate to not campaign in the state during the fall campaign in several decades.
Donald Trump also stops in the battleground states of Michigan and Pennsylvania in the closing hours of the campaign, and won those states as well.
Mrs. Clinton added, “This week has been kind of hard for obvious reasons. It’s not an anniversary I’ve been looking forward to.” Her appearance in Milwaukee was a day after the one year anniversary of her Election Day loss.
