MADISON, WI (WSAU) – An inmate who went AWOL from the Dane County Jail a month ago is back in custody. Authorities say Sorrell Gilmore was caught by police around 3am Sunday. The circumstances leading to his recapture have not been made public.
The 22-year-old left for work on April 15th on a work release program but didn’t return later that night. Gilmore was in jail initially for knowingly fleeing an officer, theft and resisting.
