GERMANTOWN, WI (WSAU) – Gander Mountain will close two stores in Wisconsin as part of the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The stores to be closed are in Eau Claire and Germantown.
Three stores in Illinois, in Champaign, Springfield and Algonquin will also close. So will three locations in Minnesota, in Mankato, Woodbury, and Rogers.
The St. Paul-based sporting goods chain said Friday it will go up for sale due to the bankruptcy, but will keep other stores not included in the list open. Gander Mountain will still have 11 locations in Wisconsin: Appleton, Baraboo, Franklin, Green Bay, Janesville, Kenosha, La Crosse, Madison, Rib Mountain, Sheboygan and Waukesha.
