TOWN OF HERMAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One woman was killed in a crash on Hwy. 29 in Shawano County Thursday morning.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just before 11 a.m. near the intersection with Rangeline Road in the Town of Herman.
Investigators say a 31-year-old Shawano man was headed east in his car when he crossed the center line and hit a car headed west.
The driver of the westbound car, a 41-year-old Appleton woman, died despite being helped by a passerby and emergency crews.
Two children who were riding in the car survived and were taken to the hospital.
The driver of the eastbound car was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office and Wisconsin State Patrol continue to investigate the crash.
