WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) — Eight people have been arrested in connection with heroin and methamphetamine distribution operations in the Waupaca and King areas.
Joshua Christensen, Jerome and Anthony Polly, and Kelly Olson, all of Waupaca, were all caught in a sting operation of controlled purchases of heroin by the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office. Christensen and Jerome Polly have been charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, while both Pollys and Olson and have been charged with delivery of heroin.
In a separate case, a Waupaca County SWAT team executed a search warrant on a Waupaca home Tuesday night to apprehend William Sanders of Waupaca, a convicted felon wanted by the Department of Justice. Inside the home, they located a loaded .44 caliber revolver along with material and paraphernalia related to the sale and use of meth and other controlled substances. Sanders was taken into custody, along with Charles Besler of Racine. Further investigation led to the search of the address across the street and the meth and marijuana possession arrests of Alex Anderson and Cody Schultz, both of Waupaca.
Both investigations are ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office expects more arrests to follow.
