GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A women’s march was held in downtown Green Bay Saturday.
The group started on the City Deck and then marched on Main Street.
Participants say the event is a women’s march but everyone was welcome.
Both men and children were involved in today’s procession.
Demonstrators say the march is their way of having a say in today’s political world.
They hope the act will send a message to America’s new president, Donald Trump.
“This is people wanting to say that what’s happening with our new president is not okay. The disrespect for all different people, including women. The disrespect for public education is not okay, and things that he said yesterday were just offensive to so many people, and so that’s why we’re here,” said Kristi Zahn, demonstrator.
Similar marches have been held across the state and country.
As of Saturday, President Trump has not talked about the marches.
