UNDATED (WSAU) A Milwaukee-area native is celebrating after winning two Oscars for his work in the movie “La La Land.” Justin Hurwitz won Academy Awards for Best Original Song and Best Original Score last night.
The song ‘City Of Stars’ was featured in the movie and was listed on most of the movie’s print adverting. A second song Hurwitz wrote for La La Land, “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” was also nominated. Hurwitz beat out a popular radio hit, Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” which was nominated after being featured in the movie “Trolls.”
The alum of Nicolet High School in Glendale already took home two Golden Globes for ‘La La Land’ last month.
