The Milwaukee Bucks hit the All-Star break with a big road victory in Brooklyn Wednesday night, holding off the Nets 129-125.
Brooklyn, losers of 14 straight and 16 in a row at home, put a scare in the Bucks by outscoring them 43-34 in the 4th quarter led by Brook Lopez with 36 but Milwaukee had just too much offense in capturing their third consecutive win.
Giannis Antetokoumnpo led the way with 33 points. Greg Monroe scored 25 and Khris Middleton had his best game since coming back from hamstring surgery that forced him to miss the first 50 games of the year. Middleton went above his minutes limit and was on the floor down the stretch, scoring 20 points in the win.
The Bucks stand at 25-30 at the break, just one game behind the Detroit Pistons for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Antetokoumnpo will represent the Bucks during the All-Star weekend in New Orleans, starting for the Eastern Conference squad Sunday night.
