MADISON, WI (WSAU) The dean of the UW-Madison School of Business is stepping down after just one semester. Anne Massey announced yesterday that she is resigning to become a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The move will allow Chancellor Rebecca Blank to pursue a “different vision” for the School of Business.
There was a debate earlier this year if the school would shut down its Master’s program for Business Administration. The idea was eventually dropped a week later after a backlash from students and alumni.
Massey issued a written statement saying “I have realized that my vision for the school differs from Chancellor Blank’s.” Massey says her resignation will allow for changes within the business school.
Massey’s resignation takes place on December 31st.
