OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – A 24-year-old male suffered life threatening injuries after an overnight shooting in Oshkosh.
It happened around 11:30 last night in the 500- block of Hobbs Avenue, that’s on the city’s north side.
Lieutenant Andrew Lecker notes that “when the officers arrived, they did locate an adult male from Oshkosh who had in fact been shot. That individual was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred inside a residence, near the main entry point to the residence.”
Lecker says “it appears that this person that was injured was targeted and that this is not a random act, and that there is not a significant danger to the public at this time.”
An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
“The suspect or suspects were gone prior to officers’ arrival. Investigators are currently working to try to identify the suspects involved in the incident.”
