WAUKESHA, WI (WSAU) New jobs are coming to Waukesha.
Generac Power Systems will be expanding its headquarters. Company officials say they’re planning to add at least 400 jobs over the next five years. The have about 2,000 employees in the state.
The company will get up to $10-million in tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to help offset the $73-million expansion. The credits will come from an enterprise tax zone through 2021. As part of the agreement the company will solidify its footprint in Wisconsin by renovating other sites in Berlin, Eagle, Oshkosh, Jefferson, and Whitewater.
Governor Scott Walker issued a statement saying, “I applaud the company for making the commitment to continue to grow in Wisconsin.”
The company manufactures power-generating equipment.
